Enterprise-F concept: Dedication Class by MarkKingsnorth Enterprise-F concept: Dedication Class by MarkKingsnorth
After some time away, I finally got round to completing Chris Madden's Enterprise-F concept, the Dedication class.

Rendered in 3DS Max Mental Ray with some compositing in Photoshop; the background was also done in Photoshop.

This ENT-F - and also the whole scene - rocks. Very cool. :)

Thanks very much! It was inspired by the original 2D concept art.

Like some of my meshes. :)
I love to see very good 2D concept arts later as fantastic 3D meshes.

That is amazing, to say the least.
Maybe this could be a later Enterprise, like the "I" or something.

How could they have chosen the Odyssey over this? This is jaw-droppingly beautiful and one of the very best designs I've seen in all of Trek. This is a true and worthy successor to the famed and beloved Enterprise Refit!

I am really not fan of the 'bigger is better' idea, I absolutely hated the Enterprise-J, however I love this design. This has beautiful lines, one of the best 'classic' Enterprise designs I have seen in a long time. You truly have a great talent for design!

I was curious as to the scale of this ship?  Any chance of seeing an orthographic picture of it next to other known classes?

Looks like you went with a Constitution-Refit look mashed with the Sovereign class. This I like =D

Great work!

Was this one of the submissions for the Enterprise-F competition they had for Star Trek Online?  Feels like I've seen it before.

Wow! Awesome render. This is probably the best Enterprise-F design I've seen thus far. Granted, it has its issues (not big on the "duck butt" engineering section or the '50s tailfin nacelles), but she is definitely worthy "E" successor. Great Job!

I just don't like the Odyssey class from STO. Perhaps as a Voyager-A, but not an Enterprise. This is much closer to how I'd picture a 1701-F. There's no reason why the Odyssey class can't exist separately.

I can't really see anything other than the Odsyssey class as the Enterprise F anymore. Not because it was the best design in the contest. Far from it, actually. But because it's becoming some an integral part of the STO experience, and new ships coming out with technology based around the tech in her.

That aside, this is definitely a absolutely gorgeous and stately piece of work, with some nice sexy curves which harken back to the constitution class and sovereign. She's loaded with some super nice details. Definitely much sexier than the Odyssey class.
